SAFETY FIRST   |   FORKLIFT TRAINING

Why forklift safety training matters for factory work

Installing and servicing conveyor systems and industrial equipment can involve moving heavy materials and machinery within a customer’s factory. Many larger customers require contractors to provide evidence of relevant training before allowing them to operate forklifts on site. Training helps our team prepare for those requirements and follow each customer’s site safety procedures.

SAFETY FIRSTFORKLIFT & MATERIAL HANDLING

Training supports safer decisions around people, equipment and materials. Site-specific rules and authorisation still apply.

How does training support safer material handling?

Forklift operations take place around people, equipment and valuable materials. Training helps our team recognise hazards, understand load stability and approach manoeuvring and pallet handling with greater care. This supports the safety of our employees and people working around them, while helping reduce the risk of damage and disruption.

PEOPLE & EQUIPMENTWORKING AROUND FORKLIFTS

Forklift operations can take place near other people and equipment. Awareness of the working area is an important part of safer material handling.

LOAD HANDLINGSTABILITY & MANOEUVRING

Understanding load stability and handling pallets with care are part of preparing for work around materials and machinery.

Practical learning

The session included equipment familiarisation and practical exercises involving forklift manoeuvring and pallet handling. Our team observed demonstrations and practised in a training area, building awareness that can be applied when working at customer facilities.

We remain committed to continuous learning and to following the safety and authorisation requirements of each worksite.
